Faith at the center. Creativity in everything.

Wheaton College / Class of 2027

Caleb Snyder

Christian. Creator. Developer.
A little of who I am.

Caleb
Snyder.

An eye for the story.
A mind for the build.

I’m a Christian, a senior computer science student-athlete with a studio art minor, and a junior Unity developer. I make photographs, films, and games—and explore what AI can learn from human expression.

What matters most

Faith comes
first.

My Christian faith is the center of my life. Before my work, my studies, or anything I create, that is what matters most to me.

I want that foundation to show in how I treat people, how I approach my work, and what I choose to create. Photography, art, and technology are different parts of my life, held together by that same foundation.

A creative eye

Photography and art give me a way to pay attention to people, moments, and the details around me.

A technical mind

Computer science, game development, and AI give me another way to explore ideas and make them tangible.

A person to work with

I’m looking for opportunities to contribute, keep learning, and bring both sides of that perspective to a team.

Experience & education

Learning.
Making. Contributing.

A student-athlete connecting computer science, studio art, and visual storytelling in the Greater Chicago area.

CV Studio

A local résumé and cover-letter workspace.

  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • JavaScript
  • Ollama

Built an application that turns a job description and existing experience into tailored résumé and cover-letter drafts. It detects the role title, ranks relevant evidence with TF-IDF and PyTorch cosine similarity, and highlights unsupported keywords for review.

Designed a responsive workspace for reviewing and editing both documents, with individual downloads and ZIP export. Added optional local AI rewriting through Ollama and automated Python and Playwright tests.

Code, play & experimentation

Ideas, made real.

From complete mini-games to local neural networks, these are the kinds of problems I’ve been working on.

01 / Unity · Diverted River

02

Complete mini-games
Client deployment planned for early 2027

Building for an upcoming launch.

Created two full mini-games as a junior developer at Diverted River. The client’s deployment is upcoming, so these are presented as development experience rather than released games.

My contribution: development of both mini-games in Unity.

02 / Prototyping · Diverted River

02

Larger game mockups
Built for pitches to the team

Making a concept easier to see.

Built two substantial game mockups to help pitch ideas to the wider team. These projects focused on presenting a game concept through a working prototype.

My contribution: development of two game prototypes.

03 / Local AI experiments

Sentiment,
music & poetry.

Recurrent neural networksSentiment detectionLocal models

Exploring how a model can learn from human expression.

I’ve built multiple local AI models using recurrent neural networks, including experiments in human sentiment detection with music and poetry datasets. This was a past independent project.

The exploration centered on building sentiment profiles and examining distinctions between music and poetry—even where their expression can feel similar. It reflects my interest in connecting model behavior with creative material.
